At this time of year, we head into the festive season and many businesses start winding down for the holiday season, its a food idea to start thinking about how to prepare your business for the new year. Ensure your organization is prepared at the end of 2017.
Reflect on 2017
Take this time to reflect on the yet you have had both personally and professionally and as a business. One of the best things you can do at this time of year is look at the successes and failures that your business has encountered, and then look at the reasons behind them, this way you can prevent failures from being repeated in 2018.
Organize The Office
Making sure that your office or general business environment is organized and ready for the holidays is a good way to ensure you do not come back to a mess. This way you can make sure that the first thing on the agenda, after the break is for everyone to focus on their goals in the new year and to be on the same page in reference to what you want your organization to be. In the new year a good thing to do is implement a ‘clean desk policy’ (talking to myself right here). This should help reduce stress and maximize organization.
Have you sorted out that paperwork?
I know that at this time of year the last thing you want to be doing is focusing on paperwork, but making sure your paperwork is up to date is imperative to ensuring you are abiding by the laws within your business. Keeping on top of your paperwork will keep you in check of where you need to be, don’t leave this until the last minute (trust me).
